Default Ride height law in AZ ?

hey people! i was just talkin to my uncle and we got to the topic of my car and he made a comment on how low my car was. he then went on about some law where ur car has to be at least 6 inches off the ground(?!). is this true, or is he a crack addict? has anyone heard of this? he also said it was a 1000 dollar dollar fine! i find this hard to believe, considering all the lowered cars and trucks around here.

ok, the guide says it's permitted, but there is a number you can call for all the info
it's (800)-251-5866 or you ccan go to http://www.dot.state.az.us/MVD/mvd.htm hope you tell your uncle because the state guide says you're allowed to lower it as much as you want, it says "permitted". he is a crackhead.

There is, as far as the inches off the ground for headlights... check your local listing... also, there is a license plate height requirement aswell. You can get checked for camber problems too.

up in Ontario, Canada ur allowed to lower as much as u want, as long as it doesn't rub. They say its not street legal (safety) when the wheels rub. makes sense to me

no not at all

1st: if caught racing - license taken away and 6 months jail time (its criminal)

2nd: crack down - the cops come to the meet up spots (plaza's, malls, etc..) and bust *****

3rd: They team up - the come with MTO's (Ministry of Transportation of Ontario) and test car's for safety, emission, Nos, anything they can bust ***** on.

so im gonna have to say its harder up here as they have allot of task forces to combat street racing and everyone gets it for ppl that street race.

Everyone i know has at least one Muffler ticket (excessive noise), also Intake tickets (CAI are illegal). Don't want to get into Turbo's, Nos, or SC's becuz the law enforcements bust ***** on that non-stop.

in california the headlight law that states you have to be no more than 22 off the ground isn't in effect anymore. the new law is your chassis cant be lower than the bottom of your rim, for flat tire reasons

Cops wont' **** with you for being slammed unless you give them reason.....but yeah on mini trucks they will bust out a measureing tape and measure headlight and plate heights.....for example at the pavillions when people are ******* around...cops become dicks.....

other than that you are fine........I live in phx az its cool!!

That rule only applies to Red Neck hicks with trucks. Thats why most of them raise there trucks, they dont want to be near the 6 inch mark. And if it is Kevin's dad ur talking about, YES he is a crackhead

As far as cops actually measuring your ride height, thats just gay. they go so far out of there way to "Bust *****" and it is ******* rediculous. If they kept up with the serious **** like murders, and investigations and **** like that, we wouldnt have had 911 and ****. ******* cops who do that **** me off. I need to vamp, im mad at someone!
