guys I slid into a wall(Pics inside!)need ideas!
Well I hydroplaned into a wall at about 10 MPH and it did this damage and I need some input on the best way to go about fixing it. I dont have full coverage and I want to do the work myself. I could always use body filler, although it might be hard to mimic the wheel well curve since it has been flattened, but I was wondering if I could cut the whole rear/side section off another eg and weld it on. Any helpful input would greatly be appreciated! Thanks (sorry pics kinda suck)

i dont see how showing us your motor, your unpainted engine bay, and your bar sticker is going to help us help you.
DO NOT USE BONDO! take it to a body shop so they can pound it out. see if you can get paintless dent removal

man.. that is one ugly engine bay..
but regarding the bondo issue, try pounding it out as much as u can.. and try to use as little bondo as u can.

hahahahaha seriously i was trying to understand why he is showing the motor, and engine bay.... take it to a shop and make sure they do a good job. The last thing u want is the color of ur car not matching.

Yeah I was going to say...
Anyway.. Yes you can cut/weld in a section from another civic but it's going to be a lot of finishing work...
You're going to need to use some filler (don't use "bondo") in the end unless you replace it...
Oh and you do need to be doing over 40 at least to hydroplain unless the water is somehow moving that fast underneith your car...
Good luck.

you cant just buy a new REAR quarter panel and bolt it on...it would have to be welded in, and smoothed, primed and painted.
but he has a valid point and so does every everyone else.....dont use bondo, BONDO bad, especially in large amounts, like what would have to be used in your case..
i would look into a new front fender, and body work on ther rear section, its not goin to be cheap, but it will come out way better than bondo will, and it wont chip off in large chunks a few years down the road like bonda could
and for the future dont drive on slicks in the rain....hydroplanning goin 10 mph, hmmm

thanks for the replies, the helpful ones anyways. I slid in a turn going over a combination of water and oil making it pretty easy to hydroplane especially with azenis on a smooth cement.
I have been a member of H-T for awhile now and I haven't made many posts, mostly just learn from others, so I thought i would throw some pictures of my setup in there for a first.
As for the wipers, yeah there a little ricey I guess they haven't stuck out at me enough to go get some new black ones.
but i am taking a welding class so does anyone now if I can get a cover panel to replace that whole section? would i go to Honda? or just find some lonely hatchy and rape it.
Thanks again!

You can get a whole new quarter (I wouldn't recomend it. It'll be a LOT more welding and work then is needed)... I'd find a hatch and cut out that section of the quarter and weld that in... It will be a considerable amount of work but less than a whole quater and will come out better than just pounding it out and filling. Depending on your skills it will probobly come out better than if a body shop banged it out and filled it.
