I need lots of help and read up info on how to do a swap with a h22a1 dohc motor into a 88-91 Honda Crx si. Someone tell me what needs to be done and what work is involved such as what axles should I use, what suspension should I use and what not. Let me know I'm getting a crx si this week and probably going to throw the motor in the next two weeks. Someone told me welding had to be done and I need to know with what and where. Thanks for all your help.

 

you will need Place Racing mount kit, shift linkage, axles and cable actuator - about $1200 - you will need the transmission and ECU for the H22 - you really should get the Place Racing front crossmember to free up space - since the H22 is quite a bit heavier than the D16A6, you should beef up the front suspension

 

coo thanks for the info. Is there a website where I can get place racing mounts? Also can I use the axles from a h22a prelude a 95? Will that work? What vehicles can I get a cable actuator from and what does that look like? Also can I use the h22a tranny that I have? And a p13 Ecu that I have? I'm going to upgrade my ecu cuz I'm going to do some motor mods to the engine that I'm doing. Thanks for the info you guys.

I'm going to to the same swap this winter but in a 4 door 89...


I know that one of the axles should be from a integra 88-89...(as seen in a topic a year ago...) don't even remember the left one or the right one...

Do an archived search in the CRX forum for an H22 CRX, there is a lot of info about what you guys want to do......

 

You'll find lots of useful info....and LOTS of people telling you how bad an idea it is. Just stay confident, keep your eye on your goal, and you will succeed. Good luck!
