TRANSMISSION SENSORS
HEY ALL,
JUST PURCHASED A 1991 CIVIC LX AUTOMATIC. ALL IS WELL EXCEPT AT THE TRANSAXLE AT THE ENGINE JOINT THERE ARE TWO OPEN HOLES. ONE IS THREADED FOR A SMALL BOLT AND THE OTHER IS SMOOTH BORE. LOOKED AT OTHER TRANSAXLES AND THERE ARE TWO METAL SENSORS THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF 35MM FILM CANISTERS. MY CIVIC ONLY HAS ONE. RUNS AND SHIFTS FINE BUT, LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING IS MISSING HERE.
ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE SENSORS ARE? APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

Yeah,
The one I have is goldish and the ones I seen on other trannys are goldish in color. Any idea what they do. Just bothers me that I only have one in place and all the other trannys I've seen there are two.
