Default Autometer Tach? Going crazy

I have a b16 in my crx and my stock tach reads fine but my autometer reads double. So if my stock tachs reads 1000rpms the autometer will read 2000rpms? It is hooked directly to the distributor? Any suggestions?

Did you properly set the jumpers? THe distributor connection is to the solid Blue wire-is that what you mean?

my tach currently is off that much also.

b16a1 + pr3 ecu wit stock CRXSi gauge cluster my rpms are off from anywhere 400RPM to 1200RPM difference. the large differences are in the higher rpm ranges also.

but i dont run a aftermarket one. so i dunno.

in the instructions on my autometer tach, it says cut one of thejumpers for 4 cyl 2 pulse or both jumpers for 4 cyl 1 pulse or something like that. i don't have them sitting here with me, so i can't say for sure. i just remember that there's a difference.

You might have had it connected to the crank angle sensor output instead of the coil pulse wire, also. I've seen that done before... The crank moves twice as fast as the cam...
