vortech SC with aftercooler for GSR?

Default vortech SC with aftercooler for GSR?

what do you guys think of the SC with the aftercooler that vortech makes for the GSR now. i know they used to make it for the Si, but now i geuss they make the aftercooler for the GSR. how reliable of a system is it?

they arent bad...but you should read up why vortechs arent that good to fi hondas and such...search

Centrifugal SCs suck on small displacement engines for most uses... I know somebody is gonna chime in with some top speed BS

Just do a search on the vortech sc in this forum, there are plenty of threads that discuss in detail its horrendous powerband... It is all about peak power, not usable power, that is why JRSC'ed GSRs are usually faster than Vortech GSRs despite having far less peak HP. A centrifugal SC is the red headed step child of a turbo and a eaton roots blower, possessing the worst attributes of both. If you get a Vortech SC, get a Mustang to go with it
