There was something wrong with your hubs.
The DX hubs WORK with B series axles, no if's and's or but's.

I have done engine swaps and I can tell you that the dx knuckle/hub assemble will not always work. People say there suppose to, but they don't all the time.

If it was just 1 car, then I would of thought so to. But this has happened on many of are customers cars also. The axles fit in ok, but once you get the axle nut on the axle freezes up. I have also heard other people having this problem as well. So it was not just my car.

Go to the dealer and ask for a hub for a CRX DX 88-91,
See how many different part numbers you get. I have done it.
Honda did not build a few "custom" hubs for a few Dxs out there.

The problem most likely is the axle. There are dozens of axle manufacturers.

Nope, out of all the times we had this problem we tried numerous axle combos, all with the same results. I'm not trying to argue with you, I know the axle are suppose to fit into the dx hub/knuckle assemble, but that was not always the case when we did the swap. So if you have a dx, use the hub/knuckle assemble, but if for some reason it don't won't work when you get to that point, switch hubs.

Yeah, no we are not going to turn this into a battle.
I have done quite a few swaps myself. HF's DX's Si's Ef's EG's DA's Auto to manual convertions, cable to hydro clutch convertions (before HAsport came out with their kit), etc, etc.
One thing I have learned is that not all swaps are the same. Rust, accidents, neglect all play a part in how well things fit. I have to say though, that I have never replaced a hub because of an axle not working with it. I always found a way to make the axle work, and everytime I had a problem with it, it was due to the axle. The original post is about whether or not a DX hub works with a B series axle. The answer is yes.

I agree, but you do run into problem sometimes.

both dx and si hubs wil work fine with the b16/ls axles. just make sure to remove the hub ring on the inside to otherwise you be going anywhere.
