Default went to the track tonight and am pretty dissapointed

well i wanted to see how i run with 5 psi tonight. i am not mad at the cars power cuz i know its there, im mad cuz i couldnt get any traction at all. i kept spinning no matter how low or high i dumped the clutch. hell i even tried taking off grandma style and as soo as boost kicked in teh wheels started spinning. i can only get traction when i hit 3rd. any way here are my times. i only got 2 runs in because the place was packed with domestics and bikes.

1st run :
R/T - 1.051
60' - 2.711
330 - 6.836
1/8 - 9.887
MPH - 82.78
1000 - 12.444
1/4 - 14.591
MPH - 105.39

2ND RUN:
R/T - .991
60' - 2.743
330 - 6.797
1/8 - 9.807
MPH - 83.62
1000 - 12.347
1/4 - 14.487
MPH - 105.65

i am open to opinions and advice. this track was pretty shitty. horrible track prep and the elevation was horrible its too high above sea level. my friend that runs 10' mormally was running 12's there. i think if i could get traction and a better traction below sea level mid-high 13's are attainable for me. what do you guys think??

****, those are the worst 60's I've ever seen. You have a pretty good mph, I guess the only thing you can do is keep practicing. You're easily capable of mid 13s imo.

Well, your high trap speeds definitely show room for improvement. Get some better tires and you'll see better times.

Not to mention your 60'.

btw what kind of tires were you running?
with 1.8-2.0 60ft, youll probably see high 12 low 13s

the final time isn't bad considering your rt's and 60'. work on those and get some good tires (falken azenis ) and you wont be so dissapointed

Who cares about R/T.. It's not like it was bracket racing...

Some better tires and practice will solve your 60' problems...

If they are the same tires that come on SI wheels, then no wonder. I used to be able to chirp third gear on those crap tires. They suck bigtime.

yeah my friend dropped his times from a 16.4 to 16.0 by lowering the tire pressure on the crappy michelins.

it made .4 difference on his car it will make more of a difference on yours. But i would just save and get better tires.

hmm you need to get the **** out of here if you have nothing positive or relatively funny to say. Judging by your amazing sig youd probably be better in the audio forum or clubsi.com have a good day shitbrick. to the poster of this thread. dont be dissappointed. That trap is easily good for a low 13 or high 12, and it looks like you dont have much fuel management on the car with the drag setup, so theres a lot of room for improvement

thats pretty rough, you should be doing that without the turbo. better luck next time. Looks like some slicks may be in order.

There always is someone with the damn RT comment

Yeah you have mid to low 13 second mph but like they said your 60ft is killing you. I have to agree your tires are the worst known to man. I noticed a big difference when I put a set on my car, complete loss of traction.

yea ive talked to lots of guys today and told them my times and they all told me that my 105 MPH trap speed is good for low 13's or high 12's. they all told me with slocks i should be able to pullt those no problems. and i told then im only pushin 5 psi. they said bump it up to about 7-9 psi and i should be alot happier. the elevation at the track doestn help much either. thanx for all your advice
