How bad are the cheap ebay headers? How do they compare relatively to a name brand header? Will I notice any HP improvement compared to stock (with supporting mods)? Will there be a noticible HP improvement if I pay the extra couple hundred for the name brand header?

 

They are pretty much ****. I believe you are referring to the R1 raceing or the "jun" look alikes. The power from a good header comes from the collector. That is the most important part. Look at the collectors on the JDM 4-1 headers. Its verry nice and blends together well. The R1 headers have a crappy collector. They dont converge to one opening verry well. Your car will prolly gain half the HP of a nice header if you go with the Eaby brand header. and your car will get louder!
