I think you were just a little too tense. Maybe try to relax a bit.

shifting like that may mess up synchros.. spend more time learning your gears - take it easy

Im goin w/ SoCal ITR on this one... definetly went from 2nd - 5th. Dunno but it seems like when your racing ur so scared of mis shifting, your to pre-cautious about it and move ur arm over to much, basicly just shift UP and ur fine. also. no need to shift super fast. it doesn't make u faster.

i speedshifted a few times, and i've gotten faster times w/o doin that.

stock R's are good for a low 16 sec 1/4 mile time.. its not like the R was designed to race or anything
and to agree with the above statements..... Practice..
and take off caps lock please.. you are scaring me.

i think you should take the caps off. it makes you sound very panicy, no one you missed that gear, just chill out and shift smothly. bangin gears doesnt make you faster enough to be worth killing your tranny, jsut be smooth

i kinda disagree, good shifting can deff win the race. IMO there is not reaosn so speed shift, and what i mean by speed shifting is not letting off the gas and just ramming it in . it works for some people , but i never tried it , but its all in practice, i feel i have mastered shifting pretty well and have been complimented by some of the bigger racers. Its all about finesse.Take your time , relax. with some time and practice it will come to you. watch the 2nd to 5th, i did that once and didnt even grind or anything and it killed my syncros. drove home with 5th gear grinding . kinda sucks. but everyone has their moment of embarassment sometime.

2nd to 5th. If you do this, you deserve slow track times.

Stop thinking so much and just shift. Things like that need to be automatic/almost second nature when you drive your car. You think = you stink! Plus it's your first time so don't sweat it too much. And remember the surface of a track is different than the streets.

I was told to try launching at about 6500rpm's and feather the clutch. You burn the hell out of your clutch but if you do it right you'll get better times.
