just got some ctr/itr cams for my ls/vtec wit gsr head... whats neds to be done to the valve train t
should i get itr valve springs??? where can i order them from... or can i go with the skunk2 ones?? they are almost the same price... and whats this i hear about getting the itr intake or inner springs and moving the intake ones to the exhaust side...need some help here.... oh yeah my car only revs to 8k... and some have told m its fine to keep gsr valvetrain...
Its ok to keep your GSR valve train if your only revving to 8K. Any higher and you should get the ITR springs. I wouldnt get the skunk springs unless you get the skunk cams. There is no need for it.
If you have a shop that can install valve springs without pulling out the head, then I would have them installed at the same time. What most people do in your situation is get ITR intake valve springs on the intake side, and then move the old GS-R intake valve springs over to the exhaust side. GS-R intake valve springs are the same as ITR exhaust valve springs (same part #).
well, first off what pistons are you running? If you are still using the LS ones, anything over b16a WILL drop a valve as soon as you hit Vtec. We've discussed this a couple years ago on the hybrid board (www.hybridforums.com). I've seen it with my own eyes.
