Hey guys and gals...i decided to finally take some pics of my rear lower/under part of my car! LOL, well...ever since i slapped on my z speed rear lower tie bar on my 94 GSR, about a week later, my abs light came on and stayed on. I was wondering if anybody else w/ a rear lower tie bar on their 94 teg had the same problem. Also, do the other year DC2's look like mine? I believe that line is the abs line...correct me if i'm wrong. Anybody know how i can fix the abs light problem?
it could be a variety of things, from the pics your set up look fine, i dont see the line being pinched or bent.

is that the stock sway bar or is it larger? If it's larger you need to get it off of those OEM brackets and mount it directly to the subframe.
sorry for the OT post, just lookin out for ya

its actually a neuspeed rear lower sway bar.....its thicker than stock, and those are the brackets neuspeed sent me....
how did you take that picture? was the car raised at the time...
even if it was taken just by shoving the camera down under you still have to take into account the circumstances when you're actually driving. from the looks of it, the abs lines seem really close to the tie bar. what im saying is, when your driving, your rear lcas flex lower and that rubbing could cause your abs to slowly deteriorate and thus the abs light.
this is just some theory coupled with two bits of observation (according to the pictures).

thanks for your input....i didnt quite think about it like that......i just figured when i'm taking turns, hitting big dips in the road, then that causes it to rub....but how do i go about fixing this? Also, yes, my car is about 2.25"-2.5" dropped....i just squated shoved the camera underneath the car and shot the pics
if you have the time... you can experiment and take out your tie bar. first and foremost...reset your ecu. then take the bar out. drive around with it off for awhile and wait around to see if it will ever light up. if it does...i can guarantee you that...the tie bar is the main culprit.
ALTHOUGH....
you can maybe ghetto fab it out and use zipties and maybe wiggle out the abs lines and secure them to ummm .... well... you can find a common spot. you know what i mean?

The ABS line are probably hitting something, causing the ABS light to come on. A lot of people when installing the rear tie bar remove the brackets from the ABS lines, but I don't. The bracket serves a purpose to hold the lines from moving or hitting something, so I just zip tie the brackets with the lines to the tie bar. Been a year now and no ABS light.
Here bro...this is what I'm talking about when I mentioned using zipties...
excuse me Spec R for refering to your picture...

Thanks NRG for that pic......i'm gona see if i can do something about that on mine right now...also, that Spoon rear tie bar looks sooo much sturdier than my z speed.....i might have to look into one of those.
Spec R...Do you have rubbing noise and sometimes clunking comming from your sway bar when hitting bumps and going around turns?
I see you have a little rust there on your ABS brackets, Thats due to the sway bar rubbing on that bracket.
I suggest relocating that line...pull the hose out of the ABS guard and dremel that rust part off up to right before the bolt hole...Then zippy tie the line higher on the lower control arm.
I had the same problem with my JDM ITR sway bar, I just chopped it yesterday and everything runs smooth now!
That will help with future ABS problems.
Just offering my help...Good luck, This was easy to do, Only took 30 minutes, It'll be worth it in the long run.
Peace
