I have a comptech exhaust on my Si and was wondering if the burbling that i get is normal. I love the way the exhaust sounds but whenever I let off the throttle, it makes burbling sounds almost like a backfiring sound, but with more frequency at a lower volume.

Do you guys with after market exhausts have the same issue? Is this normal? What would cause this and how to remedy this?

 

Check the exhaust flanges to make sure you don't have an exhaust leak first. If you don't, then it's normal. With a free-flowing exhaust, you'll tend to get those "gurgling" sounds. My HKS exhaust does the same thing. Don't worry about it.

Bro thats normal, its called backrap. I like the way mine sounds with the GReddy EVO when it does that.

 

sounds pretty normal anj, my 97 type r with the dunk megaphone was really loud with back pressure.

I have magnaflow and it does the same thing, so long as it sounds good when your gunning WOOT

 

anj remember erics exhaust does that too! so i think everything is normal with urs.
