'99 Y8 IM into Z6 head ?!?! fitment? will it work?

Default '99 Y8 IM into Z6 head ?!?! fitment? will it work?

i want to upgrade the IM of a Z6 engien by installing a 96+ Y8 IM, question is is there a difference from the 96-98 IM and the 99-00 IM???!

anythign i should be concerned/aware of whiel doign this upgrade?

it will bolt up but some of the pugs are different i belive, just get a skunk 2

what he said...

You have to try to match your IACV to the Y8 one... (there are 2 styles for the y8 I believe) so you need to get the Y8 with the same style IACV as yours.

Depending on the year you use, you need to be mindful of all of the ports on the IM and where they go on the head.

They bolt up no problem, however one of the 96+ Y8 IM has diff't ports that the others didn't.. Pretty sure it was the 2000 IM, could be the 99 also. I ran into this problem and ended up buying 2 IM gaskets B/C of their differences.
