Default Looking into buying a new(er) Teg... What to look out for?

I'm putting some serious thought into getting a new(er) 4-dr 5-spd GS-R. Any common issues to watch for? I know that the '90-'93s had probs with the bolster on the driver's seat wearing through. And the cam seal on the engine (in the LS anyway) was prone to leaking. But, what about the '94-'01 GS-Rs? Anything specific to the 4 door?

TIA,

get a 94-95(ODB1) 4dr if you plan on mods, 96-01(ODB2) if not. check all the vin numbers also(engine,dash,hood,doors,trunk,etc...) If they check out and the price is right, go ahead and buy it b/c gsr's on my side are a dime a dozen.

Damn, people what is it with this OBD this OBD that bullshit. OBD 1 reacts better to modifications. You can most def buy a OBD 2 car (96-01) and simply get the OBD2 - OBD1 harness. But anyways, G3 Teg GSR's are excellent cars with very few flaws. Besides the usual such as checking the vin #'s, compression & leakdown test, test drive those are the only things that you can do to insure you dont get a POS. Oh yea, if you dont know or have the tools for the compression test and are bringing it to a mechanic, have em check out the body and frame for possible accidents. And you might want to visit http://www.team-integra.net and sign up as a member. They have alot of helpful info and lots of factual information. Good luck !

People think that obd1 is a godsend or something. Id much rather take a obd2 dc2 w/ lower mileage and overall better condition rather than having an obd1 , 10 year old gsr w/ 150,000 miles on it. (nothing against cars like that, but which one would you choose if you had the money.)
