Default Can you use a cruise control button (2000 ls) for a kill switch?

Pretty much what the topic says. I have a 2000 ls that didn't come with cruise control (had an after market one put in) and I was wondering if you can use the stock cruise button (since mine isn't there I can get one) and wire it up for a kill switch off the fuel pump. I want to use the relay option too.

So anyone with any suggestions or knowledge of this option let me know.

TIA

Beefy

That should not be a problem. You would just need the switch and a single relay.

Something like this http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page2.asp

You will need to determine if you want the fuel cut when the cruise control is on or off and wire accordingly.

if you are doing this, you do not need any inluse fuse? i thought i've read that you have to use a 20+ AMP switch. since the cruise control has no amperage what would be the solution to solve that?

i know i'm bumping a old thread instead of creating a new one
