Well basically to sum it all up....
Funds are very limited for a low, exhausted budget race team.
John has busted his ***** for many yrs to have proven himself over and over and over again, but still no recognition for what he can and has done. He is basically really tired and wants to move on.
The enthusiasm for the sport is still there, but as I said for the many many yrs of being a top contender (I think in my personal opinion despite what many people think) and not getting recognition for what he does for the sport and for a few other un-named racers,It has taken a toll on him. I feel his anguish where all these guys have big name sponsors to back them up 110% to race, but John chooses to race for the love of the sport and fun. But to be competitve these days, you have to be either backed up by Cheverolet,Ford,Saturn or what not to really succeed nonetheless taken completely over to me the fun of it.
So to basically sum it up, HE'S BROKE

I remember going to buy a bare chassis from John and when I saw his car there I just fell in love with it. It had no stickers just plain black, he said the methanol engines were expensive to maintain and he got good results on gas. The only thing I did to the chassis was change the wheels to wheeleze, he keeps his cars in top notch condition.
johns blue car is underground down here in florida. and im pretty sure steven thompson had the first 10 sec honda on the east coastand it was right hand drive. antigravity would probrably know better than i would.

yeh, this is Thompsons righthand drive hatch that ran 10's on east first, but John was the first to run 9's on eastcoast in the blue Bramen car. I can't rememb if John still owned pacific when they broke the 10 sec. barrier.
and pacific had first 9 sec. fwd Nissan, this car was beutiful. Made like a 9 sec. pass on one of its first times out and then got sold to someone in Antiqua West Indies like all the other importracecars built in south fla.

Did that 200SX have a Quaife sequential shift transmission in it? Did they outlaw it because it was the only one? I remember seeing that car at Budd's Creek. It was just sitting there, never ran one time, I'm guessing because of the trans?
The Turismo Civic (aka blue Brahman Civic)in the background was the first Honda on the east coast to break 9s. Rosado racing worked on both the Castrol Civic and Blue Civic. A friend of mine was involved in the project. Too bad the Castrol Civic wasn't developed more because that car was ahead of it's time. The front suspension was very trick. They reverse engineered anti-dive suspensions from F1 into anti-lift so that they didn't need wheelie bars.
