Fastest NA 4th or 5th gen Prelude???
I remember JG Luder from HP.com running mid 13's N/A with his JG Prepped H22. And if memory serves me correctly, that was with street tires, full interior, and I.C.E.
Other than that, I think most N/A'ers are stuck in the low 14's.
Thats why I like the Happy Gas. 13's for ~$1,000!

my time is in my sig, the only other na prelude to produce a faster time than mine was preluderacer023's, he was in the 13.7's, but who knows what happened to him...

in that case the 5gen wins, it is bigger - more room for stickers

Were you running open header?
There's a guy here in Ottawa that ran 13's as well.
To give you an idea of what I'm capable of...I hit a 100mph trap in June, while spinning through 1st and second. We won't mention the time, cause it sucked.

I ran a 13.9 with slicks with an h23 bolt ons and Gude head package. The only run i tried with my fully built motor resulted in a blown tranny.Havent tried again and wont until i have more money in reserve to fix if i do it again.
in order to have a fast NA H22A you will need to do extensive work on the valvetrain, and bore out the block for more displacement, and get higher compression pistons, etc... it's alot of work...

WOW!!! Whats your secret?!?!
See any potential for a mid 12 second 5th gen? Im going to begin a very extensive H23/VTEC build and considering the shop/company Im affiliated with making power shouldnt be a problem. The only thing that concerns me is if a 230WHP motor can push a pig *** 5G lude down the track in 12 seconds. Im going to be lightening the car up a bit but nothing too drastic as in cutting the car up or anything like that... Anything that can be removed will be and the usual CF hood, lightweight trunk skin and things of that sort.

Just remove the doors, hood, trunk, and all interior and you should be near the weight required for 12's out of 230whp.
I think you need to be in the lower 2000# range to run those times.

u can hit mid 12's with a 5th gen... gut it and fully built turbo with high octane, slicks and a LSD and there u have it.
but with 230 whp all motor? without slicks and lsd and great track conditions with a gutted car.. i doubt you will hit 12's...probably mid 13's

That is pretty impressive for a NA h23a.
The new guy, blake, does have the fully build JUN motor (straight FROM jun). He said on the mustang dyno it put out right around 200, so assuming it was SAE he should be putting down right around 210-230whp. This is in theory though.
Sofar I would say satan holds the title for highest whp NA prelude and has the dyno sheets to back it up

hey anthony this is blake. congrats on the hp #s thats really nice. you need to run jonathan. i hit 208 on the mustang and 215 without p/s belt. where are you staying at now. you know there is a new dyno in g-vegas. its the mustang that i tune on. email if you want to meet up

Of course Ill be running on slicks, fully gutted with a quaife LSD... I think I have a decent shot at mid 12's. You dont need boost to go fast with a lude theres just not alot of people out there willing to find out. Im going to do my damndest to get to mid 12 territory on the motor alone. Either way itll be a quick and reliable car.

What type of car does jonathan have now? Last I heard he wanted to get a camaro or get another integra... That kid has gone through cars like wilt chamberlain has gone through hizoe's.
I am in charleston, SC right now until I return back to school in january. What shop has the mustang dyno? There is one also in anderson but I believe its a regular SAE dyno that all the clemson guys go to.
I knew I should have ran my car without the p/s belt on it... I wonder how much more of a power increase that would yield?
Prop's on your motor as well

I still want to legitimize the results on a dynojet though, people like to dis any dyno but the dynojet. I am planning on getting a custom 2.5" header so maybe I'll dyno then.
a 100mph trap (no traction) is like 13.5 area I think. if 2point6 was doing 13.2@104

true, but like you mentioned, he does not drive a prelude... my brother has hit an amazing 13.26 in a 4th gen accord with an internally stock jdm h22...
joel, yes all my 13 second runs have been done with an open header... i would love to see what kind of timslip 216 hp will produce, im only putting down about 185...

I hate to be THAT guy, but those numbers seem very unbelievable.
185whp and running 13's?
low 13's on a stock guts H22?
How can this be?!
I was impressed with my 14.9 intake run in my H22 Lude!

216+open header should be pretty damn good. Maybe I;ll do some runs before it snows.
