which slicks for my setup? 22x8x15 or 22x8x13?
iam having trouble deciding on which slicks would be the most suitable for me. this is for a built b16 in a 90 crx hopefully pushing around 175 whp when finished here soon. which slicks will give me a better 60ft? and wich will give me a better trap speed? ive seen Dustin in the white all-motor hatch launch pretty sic here at renegade raceways and he uses the MT 22x8x15. i remember him telling me he launches somewhere around 8-8500 with those slicks. any input will be gladly appreciated, thanks.
if the 13" fits over your brakes, get them. They're lighter and you get more sidewall .
Personally i'd like to go with 13" but i have no choice but 15" because of my 11" brakes.

Go with the M&H 22x8x13 for your car. I have a 90 crx also making around 190-195whp and that's what I'm going to be using once I save the money up. I'll be launching at 7300rpm and be able to bring my 60fts. down to 1.7-1.8 hopefully.
I would say for that Hp and no tq then get the 22X8X15 you will gain mph! my friend went 11.9's on this slick. HTH Rob

Yup, get as much sidewall as possible! I would run a 13" slick but they wont clear my Type R brakes. i currently run a M+H 24x9.2x15 on Bogart fly stars, but before that i used the MT 22x8x15 and they netted me a 12.23@111 leaving very easy. However i gained as much as 8 MPH switching to a 24" tall slick netting me a best MPH of 12.52@119 same setup as the 111 MPH pass just different tires.

ive had these slicks for almost 2 full seasons and i really cant tell u how good they hook. everyone can talk about sidewall and whatnot but ive been to 2 national events and raced guys with more NA HP than me with about the same weight as my car was when it was full sheetmetal. my 22/8/15s pulled better 60s than all equivalent 22/8/13s on comparable cars. i wouldnt shy away from the 13s though jesse, im sure they work good too.
realistically they should run the same MPH cause they are both 22s. theoretically the 15s should run higher traps cause less sidewall to flex goin down the back half of the 1320.
Thank you someone finally say's the 15's, I would say if your going to add alot more HP then get the 13's but for your set-up you don't need the sidewall everyone is so bigger is better but with no TQ then I would say get the 15's. Just my 0.2 Rob
