Woohoo New CRX Owner :D
Hey Guys
I've previously owned an 86 HF but it was totally rusted out and the timing belt blew a few months ago so I sold it for 75 bucks.
I was AIM chatting with this girl I partially knew and the topic got on CRX's somehow and she mentioned her b/f had one for sale. She was like Its black thats all i know. I had her gather some more info and apparently it was an 89 Si and the clutch was blown on it.
I got on the phone with them and went to check it out that weekend. Car is pretty beat up (dents, dings, smashed CRX rear panel, missing rear wiper) not to mention it wont go in gear while running. It only has 146k miles
While on the way home I decide that i should go ahead and buy it and try to get it running for my winter car (other ride is a 300zx TT
) I call him up and ask whats his bottom dollar and he sais 300 bucks?!?!?! I tell him i'll go get it this weekend
I bring it back to the shop and just happened I had a used clutch siting around so I figured i'd go ahead and throw it in. Got the tranny out and pulled the pressure plate and then........
wait a minute why are there 3 flywheel bolts almost completely backed out?!?! Turns out doofus( previous owner) installed the new clutch (one month prior) and didnt torque and/or lock-tite the flywheel bolts down, so they backed out against the clutch now allowing it to engage/disengage. EASY FIX. On the road within a few hours.
Only problem I'm having so far is he must have busted the TPS sensor because the plug will not even hook up to it, so i have to run the heater full-blast so the motor compensates for the lost RPM's (so the motor doesnt bog and die at stoplights) I've got a good throttle body in the mail
I look foreward to owning the CRX for quite some time ( I owned the HF for about 5 years before she broke) Ive owned a total of 4 hondas now (86 HF, 93 EX coupe, 94 DX Hatch, 89 Si) and am still loving the reliabilty and gas mileage!
All in all i look foreward to gettin to know some of you guys and thanks for welcoming me to H-T.com

Thanks
Although I must admit 15 psi of boost in the Z is quite a bit of fun in its self
Sadly it threw a rod a the track a few weeks ago, so I'm planning a build-up (eagle H beams, wiseco pistons, etc)
