Default Help: HU problem Radio works CD player doesn't

Hey Guys,

I had my stock CD player out for a while, and I just put it back in with an external amplifier. Problem is the CD player portion of the HU doesn't work. The radio works just fine, but there's no sound from the CD player. It take the CD's and seems to be playing them, but there's just no sound.

Any ideas?

yeap, you connected the Amp's remote turn on wire to the Factory Radio's Power Antenna wire. Just like with Alpine Radios (Alpine might actually make that OEM one who knows), you can't do that. The radio's only show +12 on the power antenna lead when the RADIO it's self is on, not CD. They figured you only need your antenna when listening to the radio, so why have it up all the time? What you need to do is go back in and connect the remote turn on wire to the Accessory wire. This will solve the problem

Wow, you are good! This is exactly what I did.

If it's just the Ant. Remote lead, then why do they label it "Ant Power/ Amp Rem."

Thanks a lot, I'm so happy I didn't blow the unit.
