slipping gears up the ***, specially going into third...rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (three seconds) shrugh rrrrrrrrr(finally third) and so on. When going into drive, it jumps and takes about 3 seconds to shift, when in park is fine...

honda has extended the warranty on the SS transmission to 100,000 miles. you should be covered. get it replaced ASAP, and wait for your new one to break, hopefully before 100K mi

now, i have a question: is there a way to rebuild the transmission to take abuse, as in automatic turbo??

If so, what is the cost of that on average?

Thanks.

UPDATE!!!!

well, i decided to drive the prelude to the dealership down the street and have them run the diagnostic crap on it, well, i told the service advisor ALL the problems it had and what it was driving fine. I picked up the car later on today and asked the lady for the fifth time if there is a warranty on the transmission. Well, "no sir, there is no warranty on it, by running the vin, only an emissions warranty..." so i said ok, and they took the check engine light out along with the code and TOLD me it is fine to drive, just try to get the fluid exchanged and see if there is a problem with the tranny by small metal particles (you know what i mean)

Anyway, i drove it to school and the thing did the same, but this time a loud boom!!!!!! came from the tranny and the car was all engine, not tranny.

Well, i calle the service manager and talked to him about everything that happened, and he said, well, let me call HONDA USA and guess what crew:?

the car has that emissions warranty and the transmission problem made the engine light go off and that reason is why i have a new transmission put in by honda by the end of the week...

Well, it is remanufactured and warrantied and if it breaks i bring it again and do a swap again and again.

So, this is the update and for those of you who wonder about this, i say have the SERVICE MANAGER run your vin and make sure you are covered, i know i was and that is why i have to pay $90 diagnosis and the rest is on HONDA OF USA, even towing...
