Default Door

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I own a 1989 Crx Si (Canada), my doors are both in pretty bad condition rust wise. Just wonderring what doors will fit my car from a junk yard? Dunno if civic doors will fit or what models or year.

Say I went to a junkyard to get the doors which I am. How will I know what year or maybe even model if its shaved or gone that the car is?

Thanks</u>

1st and most obvious to me way of telling is if it's the drivers side door usually the car information is stamped on a plate or on a decal (if it isn't washed off). Beyond that ask the guys at the junk yard or compare it to your current door. And ask them if it don't fit if you can bring it back to try another one. Usually if it's a small rinky dink junkyard they are nice about stuff like that the bigger ones are sometime well umm Not. Im not sure about which doors but i thought that would be helpful.

89's had seatbelts in the door pannels .. you might try looking for those .. i dont know if theres any difference in the canandian crx verus US but they are pretty hard to find in good shape .. you could always conver to seatbelts in the pillar like the 88's just more work involved

but for the most part stick with any with the seat belts in the door pannels

If your CRX as pillar-mounted seatbelts (mounted behind the door, not on the door itself), any '88-'91 CRX with that same setup will work. If it's got the door-mounted belts (and they didn't in Canada, did they?), you'll need door with the belts mounted on them.

Civic doors will NOT work - look at the window shape and the frame around the windows - CRXs start to curve back down toward the rear, where the Civics are more straight back, in a horizontal line.
