why does it have a salvaged title?

 

I don't know. On the carfax report there was no incident preceding the issuance of the salvage title. I would assume that it's been wrecked though.

I looked the car over prior to buying it and didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

I've told you all I know. The car had a salvage title before I bought it, and before the owner before me bought it.

Some people get all paranoid about a salvage title... personally, I didn't really care. I mean, when a car's only costing a couple thousand dollars what does it really matter anyway? - well, other than the paranoid people who won't buy it. As long as you're planning on keeping it, it doesn't matter.
