H22a JDM
I have a question. My plan is to swap out a 1999 Honda Civic SI and put in a JDM H22a 2.2 DOHC VTEC motor in the 99 SI, and I know the car weighs about 2600lbs, but my question would be, can I swap it out and get the Engine kit with the LSD, and out run the GSX AWD eclipse?
I think you would out run the auto, but prolly not manual, those are very quick/ and chances of finding these completely stock are rare as well, with a few mods theres no way, but you would have a fast enough car to beat most stuff around atlanta with no prob.
If you install an H22 in your Civic, then assuming the GSX isn't boost crazy (20+ lbs), then yes you will out run him.
As for swapping in an H22, search around for H22 EK information. I also have H22 swapping information I can send out. Just PM me with your email address and I will gladly send to you.

A JDM h22a will put about 170hp to the wheels, it's rated at 197hp flywheel. The LSD will help, I thought and AWD GSX is only like 15.0???
In a prelude a JDM H22a is capable of 14.6-14.8 stock I would say. In a civic it will be faster assuming you can get traction.

Why dont' you just boost the B16, or build it up? Much cheaper than doing the H22 swap into it, plus you already have a VERY well supported platform. You can use aftermarket pistons no problem in the block, and run a turbo kit at atleast 10 psi.

I wanna run atleast 12 or less if I use the SH motor, cause I want the motor to have 400+, but I know the b16 cant handle that much power so thats why i wanna do a engine swap

Where on earth did you hear the b16a cannot handle high amounts of power?
You need to start doing your homework, so sit down and start taking notes.

Scroll towards the bottom, you will find a 94 b16a motor that puts out 452whp at 20psi.
You are just spending more money on doing a H series swap, plus your car won't handle as well as it will with a b16a since the H series motors sit further back in the engine compartment. If you want a 400whp engine use your b16a, stroke it to a 1.8 or 2.0, then add a turbo kit, fuel upgrades, and engine management.
It sounds to me like you just want a car to beat your buddies DSM. If you simply throw a turbo kit on your b16a with exhaust and other minor upgrades you will run 13.9-14.1's on the quarter with 22" slicks. That is enough to beat a stock gsx anyday.
