9lb spring on a 38mm Tial....getting creep from 6700rpm on up to 15psi at about 8400rpm Need a 40 or 46mm Tial.
Peak Torque seems a little low for me, especially considering the bore. Any comments?

Congrats bro. The torque does seem kinda low for your displacement though. Was this on pump gas with a boost retard?

Weird you are making your peak torque at 8300 which is really really high. There was discussion on this recently I believe on a Prelude set up where the persons turbo peaked torque real high like that. Great #s none the less. What did John have to say about it?

I don't think the 38mm WG is the problem. My 35mm works fine with 24-28psi. What boost controller are you running and where is the wastegate placement on your manifold? Its also hard to say about the tq since it looks like boost is spiking after peak tq on a LS.

You are using your 35mm for 24-28 psi?!! What pound spring do you have in yours? I have the 35mm Tial, and every now and then, at complete RANDOM I will get serious boost creep in 4th gear, and only 4th gear, most of the time it holds STEADY at 1.0 BAR. However I only have a .35 BAR spring, using a GM boost solenoid and AEM EMS for boost control. I am planning to get a 40mm tial .8 BAR spring.

"Flow capacity. Contrary to popular belief, larger higher HP applications do not necessarily require the largest wastegate available. The lower the boost pressure you are gunning for the larger your wastegate needs to be. An engine/turbo combination that is set to 25+psi has a smaller wastegate flow requirement than the same application set to 7 psi. This is because the wastegate is used to lower the boost not raise it, the lower the boost pressure is set the more flow the wastegate must allow. "

I would think there isn't more low end TQ because he said all he is running is a 9 pound spring and he doesn't hit higher boost(more TQ) until later?

I had a lot of challenges in tuning this car and it wasn't due to the Hondata. There are quite a few small things holding this car back from making truly huge numbers but even at this level it's quite impressive I think. Car was a blast to drive on the street!
Thanks Boostfed! I have never heard that about wastegates before. However it also says that if you have an efficient turbo which creates less backpressure in the manifold, and not so great wastegate placement that you will have to use a larger wastegate, so it sort of contradicts itself

peak hp # is at 15lbs, but the car won't run as hard as the peak # would imply because of the boost spike.

very nice! That's exactly what i'm hoping for on this simple build up i'm doing. Shooting for 400hp w/ stock sleeves for now! Very motivating for me! Great work.

-Compression ratio is 9.5:1
-Stock sleeves? Ha! I wish...well maybe not. Got Golden Eagle sleeves.
-Using an OLD Hondata 4b. Base maps suck'd! Nonetheless John is an <U>awesome</U> tuner and worked past them! Definitely way worth the 4hr drive. John and his co-workers

As for the creep, I'm using the Profec B with the dip-switches set to "external wastegate" I'll fiddle with those to see if there's any difference. I doubt its the placement of the wastegate; its right off the front of the collector similar to the Full-race's manifold.
