Default b16 header vs. R header

I have a oem b16 header right now and also have a type R was wondering if there was a significant difference in the flow of the type R vs the b16?

I assume you are talking of the exhaust mani folds? or are you talking of an after market header?) they should be diff.

There is a slight difference. Whether or not it's worth your time to get under the car and swap them is something you have to decide for yourself. Keep in mind that, if you don't also have the ITR cat., the manifold will not bolt-on.

It wasn't really an opinion. I swapped a stock ITR manifold onto our Si, and I compared the two before I did it. The upper portions of both manifolds are completely identical. The lower halves, as I said, are very slightly different. The performace difference is also very slight, though I think some of it can be attributed to the ITR's slightly better-flowing cat, not just the manifold itself. If you're bored and it is free (as was my case), then sure, try it out. However, if you're paying for it, or if you aren't in the mood to wrestle with cat. bolts for a minimal power gain, then you probably shouldn't bother.

why not upgrade to a 4-1 jdm header , then it will be worth it . or the 96 itr jdm header which is a 4-2-1 design with a 2.5' collector

I think that 96 is really heavy.

from what I hear you lose torque on a b16 with the type r exhaust manifold
