Default Possiblity of Bagging a 1st gen CRX?

I can't seem to find one that has been done and therefore I have noplace to really look from to get information about doing this. I have never done a airstrut setup so I am going to need alot of coaching to get through it. Is there anything that i should know before i get too far into it? or should i back off on and get a 2nd gen CRX to do this to? (I don't like 2nd gens as much.)

um, yeah, it will take alot of custom work in the front because it has torsion bars. The rear will be easy. Look into Nissan trucks, I know they get bagged often, and they also use torsion bars in the front.

yep, not hacked but removed. nissan and mazdas both have torsion bar front suspensions and are bagged. i made all the brackets to bag my nissan and helped a friend bag his mazda.. i have different color air line if you want some and i know a local place here that sells fittings. i can park my nissan for almost 3months without it leaking down. PM me if you have any questions and i will try to help

Well my goal is to actually do this. I mean as I said nobody has done it that I have seen. I just want something diffrent. And i just went through a license suspension for drag racing and im getting out of that scene and more into the Show scene now cause of that. I want something nice but i want something diffrent. Also i had a Saturn before and they didn't make anything for those back then and I like a challenge

i had 2 first gen crx's.. they kick ***... only think that sucks about them is when you are on the freeway the windows make lots of noise. Im actually looking at getting another one right now.. They are a great competition car because becasue they are a lot rarer now. DO it, *** all the haters

my opinion is you should get a second gen, first gen crx's are very hard to do anything with as i am finding out, especially suspension stuff.. plus for the show scene the 1st gen isnt too appealing...

One big issue is the fenders are plastic..and crack all the time..yeah I used to have an 84...the first of the first gens..

Make sure you do something or I could see fenders being broken on a weekly basis..

I was planning on getting some TP fenders for it. gives me more room for the wheels to move around with the air ride and stuff. I am considering tubbing out the fenders and doing a Mini-Truck style front end at least. Since the back will be easy to do as everyone says. The front i could make some sheet metal interior fenders and drop it down to the frame. or at least the body kit.
