designed only to last a LONG time, and to basically get the turbo on the car. Nothing more, nothing less!

how would the shorty compare to an inlinepro cast mani with power below 400 whp (maybe even below 350 whp)? is there much of a difference in spool times?

one more thing... am i an idiot, or how the hell do you check your oil with that thing in the way?

inlinePro will flow more because there is more of a "collector". The log manifold will work, but not as well as an Inlinepro.
We have a more "conventional" stainless cast manifold coming out soon that will use a TRUE 4-1 merge collector, similar to the Cast Sidewinder.

Basically the cast Sidewinder w/o the cast part that makes it the Sidewinder then??
Just a flange on the bottom of the merge collector instead of a piece to connect the other cast part to?

to me it sounds like the shorty is one of the best manifolds for its price . 300 is around what drag manifolds go for, which seem much more common/popular, but they're notorious for boost creep. am i right that for $300, you can't get much better than the shorty? also, i can't spot the wastegate flange in the pictures... does it require the use of an internal wastegate?

The "conventional" manifold will be an upside down version of the cast sidewinder, yes, wastegate goes out the pass. side of the collector, and should be one of the most efficient manifolds EVER produced
From preliminary flow tests, the Cast SideWinder above flows slightly better than any of my other manifolds...I cant wait to see the "conventional" style
For the shorty manifolds, external wastegates are no problem/no extra charge...

well, cheaper than the SideWinder because its one-piece. BUT, no AC though. If you want AC, SideWinder is where is at...

Man... everytime I see that manifold it just blows my mind how that thing doesn't break witht he weight of a heavy turbo on the end

Quite an engineering feat
