I just got a used jdm front end. To help lower overall costs of installation at the body shop, I was wondering what methods I could use to 'prep' all the pieces I have?
Please be specific since I am not too familiar with autobody work.
I would like to basically prep it, so all I would need is paint.
Thanks.

I think that you should wait, and take a class at a JC or something. You need alot of tools that you probably dont have lying around the house. It would also be better to make sure that you know what youre doing before you start messing with such an expensive front end. Take a class.
first is it for an integra? if so its not that easy to put on ... you have to cut alot of stuff... and if you want to prep it then sand it and primer it.........
if there's no body work needed, simply DA the panels with 320 grit. If you don't have a DA< then just block sand it by hand. Scuff through the clear until the finish isn't shiny and you smooth out all the fine scratches and chips. Then scuff with a scuff pad.
Then it's pretty much up to the shop to sand it, primer it, then paint it.
Not much you can do but sand.
