Default Thinking about getting Power FC, who can tune this damn thing?

Ok, so the next step in getting the max out of a cam setup appears to be a standalone ECU.

I see the hondata vs. power fc war has been raging for a while now...

My questions:

1. I have heard that the '99-'00 si wiring harness is the same as the '00-'01 itr. If that's the case, can't I just buy a used setup from someone who is selling the power fc and wiring harness adaptor from an si?

2. How hard is the power fc to learn and tune with. The vafc was kind of a pain when I first got it because i didn't understand the NePHvt, etc... Now I do, but the abbreviations were a little confusing... Who knows how to use the fc and can teach me?

3. What else am I missing? knock sensor, but j&s would work for this... anything else?

1 - Yes that shouldnt be a problem
2 - Jack aka B18CxR isn't too far and he is very good with the FC
3 - J&S will do the job

I think that you covered everything...but isn't there a difference in the maps for the PowerFC that is designed for the Civic Type-R and the Integra Type-R? The PowerFC will work fine, don't get me wrong, but it will involve a little more time with tuning...might want to check and see which version the person has, it's under the etc menu.

The base fuel/ing. maps should be for a B18C, the B16 maps will be different.

You do not need a J&S if you know how to operate the FC, it gives you all the feedback you need (knock wise) but will not self retard.

oh yeah austin, I forgot about the base maps being different.....

So what happens if I do the reset? Does it go back to stock maps? I guess I need the base maps for the b18c, right? Can I get them or download them from someone? I guess at the worst, I can just get someone to tell me the plots they are using... What about the datalogging and laptop feature? Where can I get this from?
