Default How can I restore these wheels??

I have some REALLY old school wheels (Over 15 years old) for my baja, They're steel wheels and they're starting to rust. I'm just wondering the best way to restore these.

I already plan on sandblasting it, going over it again with some 80 grit paper, then again with 240, then again with 600. After that, What kind of primer should I use? Just normal Du Pont primer for cars, maybe some etching primer or something? Sand it back down again after that and paint...

Which begs the question, normal paint or Powder coat? ($50 per wheel for powder)

Sandblast the **** out of them, put some chemical rust fighter/sealer on it, let soak, sandblast (or mediablast) again. Immediately prime with some raw metal primer (car primer works well). Repeate until nice. Paint.

Now I dont know if this is right or not but those look really close if not exactly the same as rims that you can get at Canadian Tire in Canada. They are like $20 a rim without tires. You see them on trailers and stuff like that all the time. I am almost positive that they are the same. Maybe you should look into those ones if you want to save some cash.

$20 for these wheels??? They gotta be different! I wouldn't be surprised if they are still making them though but I think it would be hard to find them in 15x8 for trailors Plus Primer and sand doesn't cost me much... Gives me something to do anyway

I would try somewhere like Home Depot first: they surprise me with their selection every once in a while. If not, look into a chemical supply store near you and see what they can do for rust fighting/prevention sealants.
