Default camber kits...

I look down the side of the car and can see the bottom of my wheels and not the top. I take my front wheels off and the inside of the tires are bald. This is with 15X8 inch wheels. I am wondering, what is a good and cheap ajustable camber kit for me? I am getting 17's soon, and i really don't want to have to get new tires for them if i only drive them for a year. Thanks for suggestions.

Just go to home depot and buy washers big enough for the camber bolts in the rear and itll do the trick

Ingalls style huh?

This is a GENUINE Ingalls front and rear camber kit...

See the difference? Looks alike but the real one is lighter...plus its quality that you pay for

For those more educated about camber kits and what not...how do the Skunk2 Camber kits compare?

I've heard to many bad stories about the boots ripping on the Skunk2 kit.

eBay is definately the cheapest place to get the front/rear Ingalls kit. Yes there are knock offs but there also genuine Ingalls as well.

Check out this auction that ended already

$81 BRAND NEW for FRONT & REAR [REAL INGALLS]

How durable are the ingalls camber kits? Do they slip a lot? Also can they be used to add neg camber (like the skunk2 kit)? I'm thinking about adding them to the front!

Those ones are the knock-off versions... I don't know if its just me but just by looking at it, I notice the differences....

i have the ingalls kit on t the front and Ihave worried about it slipping, the design jsut seems like it would be prone to that. I have had them on for about a month now and i've checked them a few times and they seem to be set exactly where they always have been, and i drive lots of bumpy roads, only time will tell i guess.

Ingalls is a great camber kit. I had very bad negative camber in the front...blew out old tires after 3000 miles. I installed an ingalls kit and had an alignment done, and put over 10,000 miles on the car since. No uneven tire wear since. Just make sure they are on tight...mine were not, and started making popping noises.

Go get a proper alignment. Look at this pic of my car, I have -2.3 deg. camber in front and -2 in back, and I've gone over 10K miles on my current tires, NO camber kit. I got 25K miles out of my last set of tires w/ that same amount of camber.

It's all about the toe-in, that wears tires worse than camber.

Are they prone to slipping and can they be used to add neg camber?

I've had mine for over a year with no slipping and no uneven tire wear. They correct camber (positive and negative) for + or - 3 degrees.

Well, these are apparently the first ones ever made. I am a third owner, as far as i know, and just by looking at them you can tell they are oldskool-style.

So then why do people dislike the Ingalls camber kit?

I love it how you are always advocating proper toe settings instead of camber kits! It always makes me feel better about not having one. PS, -2.1 camber and slightly off toe and I had 20k on my last kumhos. This set will probably go 30k now that my toe's in check. I can only imagine what I'd get if I had the tires remounted on the other side...60k?
