But the high beams come on instantly. I usually have to wait about 10 secs after switching them on before they light up. Is this a relay problem?
I had the same thing happen to my 88 DX hatch. It got worse the colder it got. When it was below zero outside they would take 3 or 4 min to come on.
i have this same probem too but only when its cold out the lows wont come on for 30 seconds and the highs wont come on till the lows do. i have a 89 dx hatch.... if somebody could figure it out that would be a great help to all of us thanks in advance

I don't know, but my CRX had a similar issue. The passenger side low-beam headlight sometimes would turn on, and other times it wouldn't. I replaced the bulbs and it works perfectly now.
New bulbs aren't expensive, it's definitely worth a shot.

Lets put it this way.. Lets say you have to take 10min to start your car. But it still works..
It's like me telling you "Why would you need to fix it if it still works"

Just like what MrTodd said. It's worth a shot.

I have a 90 Si, I seem to have this problem but different. I think it is in the switch actually. If I turn them on all the way forward they will not come on. I have to turn the switch back a little. Maybe you guys should try to wiggle the switch a little a little to see if things happen? just a thought.
