Default V-AFC Tunning?

Well my bros have been putting together there 89 turbo civic hatchback and i was wondering something they got stuck on. They put the v-afc so they can tune the car but from what i can tell the afc won't let them push yes or something so they can save the settings would anyone know what the problems is or is the afc fucked up. By the way the afc is brand new never been used. Thanks for your help

What do you mean wont save the settings? Is it resetting itself after you turn the car off?

you do not need to save the settings, i recommend rereading the manual.
