Several owners have turdblows, and there's always the FI forum.

Going into a full blown high HP setup takes a lot of research, planning, time and a hands full (or is that hand fulls) of $$$.

Light boost on a stock ITR would be "enough" for most people in my humble opinion.

My car is still a work in progress.

No, ac is there and will always be there. One of the reasons I bought this mani is to keep ac.

265whp, making hp is easy.. but for higher hp goals i'd recommend built motor with at least forged pistons/rods.

I dont have any other pics uploaded but do a search. I know there was a thread just dedicated to boosted ITR's in the FI and Appearance forums.

Scot, that's nice and clean.
I'm thinking of upgrading to something like that in my next iteration of my " turbo" ITR.

I'll send me an e-mail shortly for more info and to see how much you're asking.

.....damn, that's a nice manifold. Is it equal length scooter?

I like the fact that you kept the ps and ac.

Now how much does something like that cost?

As for my turbo itr... it's allmotor for now. The t4/t3 is sitting on my living room floor along with my intercooler.....

i shall break it down to ya..

turbo and reliability is very possible - the problem is how long its going to last.. everything is a wear item.. you replace your seals, filters, brakes.. well.. same applies to transmission and engine.. now, parts that would go first in turbo would be piston rings/pistons.. and as you up the boost, you need to upgrade sleeves and other parts.. now for average 275whp you should be ok with just forged pistons/rings..

the key to reliability is maintanance, replacing spark plugs more often (me - every oil change), and just keeping an eye on everything

now.. how long it will last will depend on how much hp you're going to run.. first, you have to provide right components for whp, once you have that - you're not going to get same milage as you would with stock motor

assuming eveything is matched and tuned correctly, its whp vs. milage.. more whp - less milage..

I have a pic of the oil return. LHT Performance made it for me. We used stainless conduit from Home Depot, .5" I believe. this is the only pic I could find, sorry its not very good. The drain works well. LHT drills a hole in the oil pan then welds in a piece of the tube, they dont use fittings. This way is much more reliable, no worries about stripping out the oil pan or braided line getting ripped...and so on.

this is a pic of the wastegate dump goin back into the downpipe. Just thought you might like to see that too.

the manifold is a LoveFab.com mani. you can find him over in the FI forum. He goes by Tinker249 I think. The mani is $700 on the web site and it is not equal length.

Reliablity and turbo can go together. I had a T3 turbo on my stock ITR motor for 34,000 miles without ever a problem. I ran 10lbs and made 280hp and 200tq all day long. I took the bottem end out only because I was putting a sleeved motor in. When the stock bottem end came out it was perfect.
You must do it right and not skimp on things or you will have problems. Consult some of us who have done it when you get everything ready so we can help you with your list of do's and donts.
