Default ZC Headlights in 1991 CRX...

I did a search but came up empty. Hope you guys can help I just ordered a set of ZC Headlights. I was told that they need to be modified slightly to fit. I have a 1991 CRX Si. Does anyone know exactly what needs to be modified? Pics?

Thanks in advance!

Miguel

Do they use US spec corner lamps or the japanese/european units?

Thanks for the replies... So do the headlights need to be re-wired? I take it, it uses a different bulb? Any more info on this as well?

Thank again,
Miguel

the jdm si headlights use a dual filament bulb for the hi beams/lo beams, as opposed to the separate bulbs your system uses now... so..yes.

Yes, on the outside, but where they attach to the headlight itself is totally different.

So as far as fitment, are any modifications needed to be made to mount the lights themselves?

TIA

Miguel

They should bolt in just fine, on a '91 though your going to have to transfer the JDM headlight to the '91 USDM housing if you want to keep your '91 corners. The JDM bulbs are H4H's (some headlights have diffferent bulbs), but your 9006 set up will not work. You will need to wire your highs and lows together as the new JDM headlight is a single bulb instead of the like the USDM seperate high and low.

Sweet, thanks for the info, now I just have to hope that when they come, they have the H4H sockets attached

Thanks!
