I got a 95S..I need to take off Steering wheel, and need to take off passenger airbag off dash..

I dont want them to deploy while taking them off....

How dO I take off steering wheel? and how do I take out passenger airbag? pry it off?

how come you want to take the airbags off??? you want to get rid of them? if so i need airbags how much are you willing to sell them if u are selling them

 

i have air bags from a 97-01. interested?

 

Under the wheel should be a little plate you take off, and a jumper to connect which disables the srs. check icelord's repair site online to verify that though.
also, in that little panel under the wheel i remember there being a diagram explaining what to do.

 

ive had them for sale for like the past 2 weeks in the classifieds.i made 3 topics about them...how much you offer for them?

Ok first of all there should be a fuse under the hood or in the fuse box down by the drivers side feet. Take those out. I always disconnect the positive side of the battery just to be safe. Pump the brakes to get rid of any static in the car. Make sure the front wheels are straight. Now to take the steering wheel off you must take the small insert off the left side of the wheel and there is a hex bolt you must take out. Then on the other side there is a bolt behind the cruise control unit. You have to take the unit off then get the bolt. Once this is done the airbag should come out but don't pull because there are some connectors to the back of it. Disconect them first. If for some reason u take the steering wheel all the way off then make sure the yellow circular box with the arrow is pointing straight up before putting the whole thing back on. As far as the passenger side goes that is simply taking screws out just lay down in the floor board and look up at it and you will see some screws u must take out. I just recently completely changed the interiors in my preludes and they were both the same way. Good luck

 

how'd you get the cruise unit off? it didnt want to snap off and im afraid of breaking it if i try harder.

 

Sorry my internet has been down. All you have to do is use a small flat head, and i mean small, to reach down under the cover and pop it off. I don't k know of a way to do it without feeling like u r gonna break it.

This may just be a stupid noob question, but I've been thinking about doing the same to put on a Momo wheel that I've had for about 2 years (roommate left it behind). Wouldn't removing the airbags leave the warning light on constantly? If it does leave the light on, is there any way to bypass that light on the dash?
