Semi stock 99-00 Si's..what are you running in the 1/4?
im asking this cause i heard some of the Si's had a 4.4 FD and some had a 4.2..
i ran a 15.3@90.8 2.3 60' with just a short ram intake
my friend ran a 15.7@89 2.4 i believe 60' with CAI and cat back exhaust
jus curious as to what you other Si owners are running w/ similar mods to determain sp? if hes lacking driving skills, his motor is weaker or is it the FD..thanks

I don't think Si's came with two different FD's.
Helm and Honda say Si's final drive is 4.266 but I remember people saying it's 4.400... However I don't think it is both.
Driver mod takes this one, or track/weather conditions.

all Si's(99/00 ) come with the 4.40 final drive(exact gearing as the ITR tranny) . it was a misprint in the honda manual saying 4.2???
drivers play a big role in times.
lots dont know how or wont try to extract the best from their cars.

14.9@92.5mph. stock everything except a home made cold air intake and unbloted muffler on stock exaust.
the 3 and 4th gears are a HAIR shorter in si's then the itr.

That is good.
I wanted a 14 the other night but couldn't pull it off.
First run was a 15.079@94.45 w/2.388 60ft.
Best run of the night was 15.014@92.78 w/2.255 60ft. I swear I should have hit some high 14's. Ah well.
These were on some crappy Heurcles(sp) tires...

no the gearing IS THE EXACT SAME.
the only reason its "shorter " in the Si is because of the 8200 rev limit.\
a cx hb w/ a gsr should be mid-high 14's
best I pulled in my Si was 15.1@92 w 2.4 60 ft. i have i/e(Stock everything else)

14's on a pretty much stock si? yeah ok sounds like a bunch of bs. Stock gsr's cant pull 14's .. and if u can hit 14's in a stock si then u could beat a type r teg. and i highly doubt that

I dont mean to busrt your bubble but that stime slip you showed me had a reaction time 109 thats called a red lite show me a reaction time of 500 and up and ill believe you
That timeslip is .109 which means .609 some tracks change there slips to be .500=.000 and it would say -.109 if he had redlighted. It's very possible and GSR can do it as well in the right conditions and driver.
theres gonna be the rare case of si's running low-low 15's or high-high 14's. BUt this is most likely due to track elavation, temperaute etc. I've seen near stock gs'r pull 14.5-14.7 <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SIXTYdashONE »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Just because gsr's cant do it, doesn't mean si's cant. Times are more driver related than car related. Besides some motors are fast and others are slow. I know I have out run my share of GSR's and GSR swaps but that doesn't mean I can beat em all!

If u think about it si's come with 160 to the fly.. gsr's come with 180. If you ask me I would think that a gsr... The car.. I didnt say driver would be faster.

Dude shutup, you're a clown. SI's 160 @ the flywheel, USDM tegs 170 @ the flywheel, stranger things have happend then those cars hitting 14's relatively stock. Get over it, I've seen it happen myself.

if you think about it, if my 60' was like a 2.1 i would have hit around a 14.9 with my Si..so anything is possible y0!

yes i completely agree some motors are fast and some suck and that times are driver related--but in technical times and majority times 7-8 out of 10 times stock gsr vs. stock si the gsr will win...plain and simple
