Default how do i tell if it is a zc

Like the topic says how do i tell if it is a zc. I have a motor that i thougt was an si but it has ZC stamed on the block. so any help would be appreciated

if u have the sohc zc i believe it has the honda badge on the right side instead of the middle on the valve cover...........

My D15B7 has the badge on the right side..... Same with my D16A6. Did you write that backwards?

Shouldn't be. I think ZC's went up to 91, and VTEC was 92+.... Euro, if you are thinking of the DOHC ZC, then no, its not VTEC.

And yes, waiting on engine code. I think (maybe?) some where not labeled ZC... but the engine code will tell us for sure.

EDIT: Yeah, if it is stamped ZC on the engine code part, it is a ZC....

ignorance at its greatest. but thats what honda-tech is about...so here is some clarification:

the 3 ZC's:
-sohc non-vtec zc
-dohc non-vtec zc
-sohc vtec zc

*all have ZC stamped on the block. if you can't tell them apart by looking at them, learn how to.

this topic has been covered numerous times...

Yea, there is 1 vtec. but if you have to ask you prolly dont have it.

what is the difference between the sohc zc and the sohc D16a6...........................because i have a D16a6 crane cam in the engine that has a zc stamped on it
