how do i access the stock airbox on a 2001 lude ???
im gunna get a K&N drop-in pretty soon and i noticed that the battery gets in the way of the stock airbox....
so what do u i need to do to gain access to the airbox.... ive done this before with my is300.... do i need to move the battery ?

There is no reason to move the battery. There are 4 clips on the stock airbox-2 front/2 rear. Unsnap them and lift straight up. The tube leading to the Throttle body will allow enough movement for you to make the change. I have the K&N and it works great. Just get a cleaning kit ($10) for it and use it every 25k or so.
