Default ECU question

when installing a p79 in a 4th gen vtec prelude, do you need not change out the harnesses? What harnesses are compatible and where can i get them from? What all is invloved when switching form a p13 to a p72, will i even need to buy another harness? Whatever info is provided would be most helpful, thanks

p72 you do not need another harness unless of course you have the 96 4th gen which is obd2.

however you need to modify the ecu to run with some aftermarket chip to get it tuned properly for your car

thanks for the info, i have a hondata that i will use to reprogram the ecu with, it is for a boosted application. I was just wondering if i could just swap them out (after being programed) and go or would i need something else for the install.

you would need to modify ecu and a bit of soldering and program up your hondata and away you go..

dont need anymore cables etc
