ECU question
when installing a p79 in a 4th gen vtec prelude, do you need not change out the harnesses? What harnesses are compatible and where can i get them from? What all is invloved when switching form a p13 to a p72, will i even need to buy another harness? Whatever info is provided would be most helpful, thanks
hey i can't instant message so i'll answer your question here
i have 160,000+miles, i started using syn when i bought the car about 8 months ago, it was burning oil alot, about 1 quart every 1 1/2 weeks, now i use mobil 1 syn 0-w40 and it is only about 1 quart every month or so

p72 you do not need another harness unless of course you have the 96 4th gen which is obd2.
however you need to modify the ecu to run with some aftermarket chip to get it tuned properly for your car

thanks for the info, i have a hondata that i will use to reprogram the ecu with, it is for a boosted application. I was just wondering if i could just swap them out (after being programed) and go or would i need something else for the install.
