Just get a high flow cat....or a test pipe. You might need that cat. just in case you don't pass emissions

Not really, you rarely get a noticeable difference from any one mod.

basically if you're gonna do exhaust and want to notice the gains, do it all at one time, header, cat and catback, and you'll notice some gains, and if you have a crappy exhaust, don't waste any more money than you already have with your crappy exhaust, save the money you were gonna use for that cat and get a good exhaust, i.e. greddy, mugen, thermal

well if your o2 sensor is after the cat it could make it run lean.

don't hollow out your cat. it'll sound like a raspy high pitched civic. you'll not feel any significant power gains.

you can notice a difference in power depending on the condition of your factory cat. When we first put the f-max kit on my brother's car, the car ran alright, but not too impressive. He dyno'ed it and the numbers came up pretty low. Got a custom exhaust setup from RollHard (using their muffler w/race tube option.. which by chance his car is on their website!) and a random tech high-flow cat. Gained around 40 hp at the wheels. The block on his OEM cat was all clogged up and could have actually been melted together from the hot exhaust gases getting trapped in there.

if your state doesnt have those crappy emission **** crap, just go to a muffler shop and have them weld you a test pipe, you can sell the stock cat and make some cash out of it. especailly all the cali guy is getting them from ebay because back in 95' they hallow their cat out. lol
