I know this topic has been covered before but I searched and couldn't find much... Anyone else have a problem, starting their car when its cold out (under 50degrees) and the needle bounces for a few minutes at idle? someone wanna help me out, I'm going to be selling my car soon and I want it to be in perfect running order.

your problemis your fast idle valve. it is located on the bottom of the t/b. the bronze colored plat has two phillips head screws. remove screws. you will se a big white plastic screw that has a slit in it for a flathead screwdriver to fit in. turn it in til it stops. do not have to hammer down on it just lightly turn it till it stops. snug. not too tight. put plate back on and it should be fine. also check coolant level first. make sure its full. good luck

I had this problem with my 92 Si but it was under the opposite circumstances. My car would bounce RPMs when it warmed up. Turned out the coolant was low.

Ditto here. If you have an aftermarket intake check the two hose connections on the IM (back by the firewall) that you should have plugged when you removed the stock intake. That's where mine was, I had a cracked hose cap.

That was exactly my prob...check those vacuum lines, make sure they are capped off.
