Default Valve cover filter question......

My B16 is leaking oil from the filter I put on the valve cover. Now my question is, is this bad or do I just need to put a oil catch can on the car?

You should take it off and use the stock method, connect a hose from the VC to your intake pipe.
How much oil are we talking about?

The breather should be hooked up to the intake. Try this: http://www.tgilmore.com/talon/catchcan.html

We are talking about enough oil to were it dripps down on the valve cover, fuel rail, and when the hood is closed it gets on the under side of the hood. The reason why i'm asking is that I was told that my piston rings were gone, allthough I highly doubt that because if the rings were gone wouldn't my car be bellowing blue smoke and cover the spark plugs with oil as well?

I know exactly what you are going through, you have to put the breather tube back on or an oil catch can other wise it will continue to leak/spray oil. From what I have seen Every B16, D16 and some B18c &H22a that has had one of these starts shooting it out the breather filter for some reason, there really is no known cause for this, it just might be the absence of the vacuum that is provided when the tube connects the valve cover and the air intake that pushes the oil out.

it leaks cause oil spray over time builds in it and when it gets saturated the air pressure forces it out.. nasty mess.. hook it back up to the intake...

The reason I was thinking it was doing it was because of boost. But then again I'm just going to put a catch can on it. Thanx for the reply's fellas.
