Mini-me power loss
most of the time the car runs great but sometimes I step on teh gas and I have no power, then all of the sudden it kicks in, I do not have VTEC hooked up, I am giving the head some break in period. This usually happens between 2 to 3K RPM, when it kicks in it is like when VTEC woudl kick in, not as loud but you feel it.
I check the cam gear every morning, it has not moved. I should mention that I am running the A6 dizzy with only two bolts.
Any ideas of suggestions?
thanks

power? from a honda? no0 just playin. actually u need the vtec hooked up, just get a toggle switch if ur poor like me, a tach with shift light and instea dof hookin g up the light, hopok it up to ther vvtec. for the toggle switvch go to autozone and get a shift **** with a switch on iit. or rpm activated switch, but thats wherre the headaches com e...
I'm not worried about hooking up the Vtec Iam going OBD1, the problem is I feel the power drop and jump up on normal driving, I do not get the same amount of power at the same RPM most of the time.
Sometimes at 2500 RPM the card is underpowered then all when I get to about 3000 the power kicks in, other times it is smooth power through the RPM range, I am worried on what it may be?
Without the Vtec hooked up I should get a smooth power through when accelerating not no power then all of the sudden kicks in, right?
Unless this is an effect of the Vtec not being connected, but even so I should not feel something going from 2500 to 3000, Vtec woudl normally engage around 4k and up right?
Anyone running the stock ECU ever felt this?
Thanks for the reply.

ay aboput 4300 is when the engine starts not making power with out vtec. mini9 me have terrible timing problme.s there hard as hell to tune. do u have an adj. cam gear? 92-95 fpr? u might be getting to little of fuel? check all that stuff. i bet it could be the timing. not valve timing cheack the ignition timing. i bte somehtign going up with that
I have the adj cam gear, it is set to 5 deg advance, I am currently running the stock INtake mani, I had problems gettign the z6 mani to run the car without idleling at 3K RPM, so I put the stock one on so I could drive the car. I am looking into a AEM FPR from a 200O civic, woudl that fit?
and at what pressure should it be set to?
thanks
