They probably do make a difference, but you won't feel it.

I would rather make my own, instead of spending a **** load on these splitfire stuff.

My friend brought a set for his EVO7GTA in Hakone area and he never said he felt huge different. Just seem stronger start up and acceleration seem more smooth.
Maybe just 17,800 yen vs. mental!

Some import mag ran a dyno before and after an earthing system. They gained about 1whp and like.8lb. I don't remember what kind of car it was. They did say it all depends on where you ground it. At first they had no gains, but the car just "felt" smoother. It doesn't really seam worth while to buy one IMO. Just make it yourself and trial an error different grounding spots.

lights run a lil brighter..
gas mileage will go up slightly..
car runs a lil smoother/slightly more powerful/efficient..
sound system will play louder/cleaner
if you have a sound system with amp(s) it wil help out with the dimming a lil..

mine was done by vteg on here..
it's a shame i can't post pics..
i recommend doing it.

Did anyone notice that it grounds at the battery only? Thats the first time i've seen something like that, all the other kits go to a body ground. Looks interesting though.

Actually, the majority of the kits that I've seen ground the cables to the negative battery terminal.

They certainly do something but the difference is not worth spending more than $100 for sure. The only money I would spend is on a spoon ground kit for it's bling.
