NO spark! i seriously need help
Just out of nowhere my car wouldnt start and i had to tow the bitch home. i bought a new distributor and my car still doesnt work. the car cranks and all, but there isnt any spark. any ideas?
dont if u have it runing yet or not but try this look in your deezy under the coil it could be your rotor came loose my rex had done this before so good luck.
I am having the exact same problem, exact.
check your wires or have them replaced if you think they're rather old
I've been told wires dizzy or fuses, not sure how the fuses would cause no spark but thats the suggestion that was given on my post yesterday about the same exact damn thing, its annoying aint it
I had to tow mine as well, tried 2 different distributors myself and tried to push start it

If you are getting code 15 then your igniter is toast. Hit the junkyds and grab a handful of em. Make sure that none of them say OKI on them as these are the igniters that Honda recalled. HTH
i did everything that the book said..tested voltage and continuity in the wires, and everything came a ok. ima try one more thing and see if it works....i dont have that rubber gasket that goes btw the dist and dist cap.
is the dizzy screwed in tight? it has to be grounded to work. Is th rotor clean? hoabout the cap? check if u gea any spark from inside.. take the cap off and use an aligator clip to connect to the ignition pack spring and lay the other end near the block or something metal and turn the car over to see if u get some spark...

I don't have that gasket and everything is fine. Did you check the under hood fuses too? I know it sounds stupid, but you never know. I recently had a similar problem where everything tested good, but it ended up being the coil... even though the old was within what chiltons said the spec should be, it was bad. If you replaced your entire distributor and its still doing that it has to be something else.
I know this sounds retarded, but are you 100% sure there is no spark? If everything up to the distributor is good (As far as voltage, etc) and you replaced the distributor, I can't think what the problem would be. Are you grounding the plug out when checking for spark? Are you using any weird plugs that might make it hard to see the spark? I've had people tell me they can't get a spark when in reality they just aren't checking the right way or can't see it. You sound like you know what you're doing, but its hard to be sure via the internet. Use a timing gun on the plug wires when you crank it if you aren't 100% sure.
Since you've tested up to the distributor and everything checked out, I'd start going from the plugs back toward the coil... 1st plugs, 2nd wires, 3rd contacts in cap, 4th rotor...
