he's saying.. cam gear adjust to 3 deg. and distributor timing advanced.
THat may not be the best results. you really cant say what is best for each car unless you are the one tuning it on the dyno. There isnt such thing as a "general" setting for every setup.

don't sweat the numbers.... dyno tuning is to compare your own car not others. each dyno is setup differently and it wont be accurate to compare #'s.

Should of spent a little more time with ben. You can definitely pull back on the fuel a little bit. Stock ECU? What year, and also are you using a stock fuel pressure regulator? What year car? Torque curve looks promising.
here are the numbers
1st run 106.4 whp 97.6 tq
2nd run 105.1 whp 96.8 tq
3rd run 108.3 whp 99.2 tq (engine sat for a little bit and cooled)
4th run 107.8 whp 99.1 tq
ECU is a Zdyne, stock regulator, and its an 89 Si. AF seemed lean but I thought you arent suppose to run the wideband with a cat on the car (gives flase readings). Is this true or not?

thank you exospeed for clearing it up. yes thats what i meant.
looking back on it the advice is kind of out of the blue, and i shouldn't have said 3 degrees, rather " a few "...my bad. Ofcourse i cannot know all the conditions or even what the owner of the car wants, so yeah ooops.
Looking at the graph i got a intuitive feeling that giving it some retard may help him a bit with the big drop off at the end. and the advanced timing would help nicely too. Just something that he can throw at it for under a $100 and hopefully get some gains. just my $.02 not trying to be misleading. I do understand that each engine is unique and therefore will react differently and that tuning should be done in small steps and results compared to net best gains. just trying to help.

dude its cool. i know where you are coming from. anyways you think it would help out even if i decide to go turbo in the long run?
the turbo set up will need tuning, and a cam gear is a part of that. so year definetly a cam gear will be one aspect of the tunning weather na, or FI.
