does anybody know how fast those new turbo neons go in the 1\4 mile? today i raced this guy from my sqaudron and just murdered his neon. the 1st time i thought he was ****** wit me and seeing what i had or something but when i almost had i 5th gear tapped and he was 5 cars or so behind me knew he was tring. the second time i let off going into 3rd and he was a ghost. he said " im gonna need new tires" but my tires is what he heard. So the last time a said lets go from a rollin start. i let get out in front by a half of car or so and i blew by him 1st and again left him behind. i let of before 5th and again 3 - 4 cars behind. i then knew he didnt have a chance. but i honestly thought he would pull on me through 4th and 5th but never thought of catching up. im pretty ****** amped about how my 90 civic si b20b vtec with stock internals and bolt-ons with the 8.8:1 pistons untuned just totally mashed dude's neon and self esteem. any feed fellas?

 

Are you sure it wasn't just an R/T?

My friend has an '03 then runs 14.0's stock. I have another friend with an '04. The '04's are quicker LSD, BFG G-Force KDW's, Mopar Stage 1 all standard. I raced a silver one at Capital it went 13.7@104mph. Bone stock with temp tags. 350 miles on it. I find this one VERY hard to believe. Especially if you raced to 5th.

 

i very positive it was a turbo and not an r\t. you dont have to belive it but im not gonna get on here and lie bro. i didnt think the results would have turn out like they did. i thought i would have my nose out on em 1st, 2nd, and maybe some of 3rd topps. but it didnt happen like that. i fuct him up. we'll see what happens when i find another one.

With a good driver I believe they run 13.9-14.0-14.1 or so stock.

Haven't seen any numbers for the 2004s with the factory Quaiffe and about 10-15 more hp. (Its hard to say I believe they got an injector upgrade, but they are underrated from the factory. The 03s were rated at 215hp at the crank and consistantly put 220-225 to the wheels..)

Doesn't seem possible to me. Especially since you were from a roll, so he'd be pretty much spool up and had traction, which is the big issue with them..

 

Already pulled the injecotrs to take a look see for myself. Already seen a dyno graph of the new ones too. 240whp 260wtq. Almost 20whp more and 30wtq more. Just like Mopar clamied on their stage one. Boost in longer and do in fact have teh boost hold feature between shifts. '04's are no jokes.

You didnt pull anything!...but yeah, the 04's are real serious.
